    University of Wisconsin–Madison, Masters Thesis. Advised by Dr. Robert Roth and Dr. Bill Limpisathian.
    • Designing and conducting educational workshops to teach introductory spatial storytelling skills through the creation of sketch maps and comics.

    Navigational Map for the Hofstra Bird Sanctuary | February 2024 - October 2025

    Hofstra University, Sustainability Studies Senior Capstone Project.
    • Digitally hand-drew an oblique map and formatted an informational layout of the bird sanctuary.
    • Conducted meetings with the Head of Grounds to obtain archival information of the bird sanctuary and sketch map of key species.

    Wayfinding Landmarks Among Smartphone Users | February 2024 - May 2024

    Hofstra University, Research Assistant. Project PI, Dr. Craig Dalton.
    • Investigated how users of phone map apps perceive landmarks around them while navigating through mental maps and interviews.
    • Created recruitment materials for interviews and began the analysis process by entering interview results into data tables.
    • Designed and presented a poster about the interview process and preliminary findings to the campus community.

    Coloring Outside of the Lines: Spaces of Fear, Safety, and Community Amidst Anti-LGBTQIA+ Legislation | September 2023 - April 2024

    Hofstra University, Undergraduate Honors Thesis. Advised by Dr. Craig Dalton.
    • Designed and conducted mixed methods thesis research on the LGBTQIA+ students perceptions on spaces of safety, fear, and community.
    • Conducted 29 interviews ranging between 30-60 minutes that integrated sketch mapping techniques.
    • Thesis was awarded Departmental Honors within the Department of Global Studies and Geography.

    Flood Zones in Hopkins Village, Belize | June 2023 - July 2023

    NSF REU, Citizens Science GIS, Flood Team Member.
    • Conducted 61 interviews alongside 5 team members on perceived flood zones with Hopkins Village community members
    • Did the cartography for the final maps displaying collected data
    • Reorganized the data management system for colelcted field data on conditions of village structures, culverts, and roads.

    Developing Recommendations for the Essex-Hudson Greenway Project | May 2022 - August 2022

    PSEG Green Teams, New Jersey Bike and Walk Coalition Team Member.
    • Worked directly with New Jersey Bike and Walk Coalition over 10 weeks as a part of a 5-person team, conducted research for early stages of the Essex-Hudson Greenway project.
    • Created maps in ArcGIS Pro displaying demographic data and accessibility to different facilities along the greenway.

    • Used Adobe Illustrator to create monthly engaging print graphic designs for a sustainability board in the Student Center.
    • Coordinated and helped to implement pilot open hours program in the Hofstra Bird Sanctuary.
    • Manual data entry and filing of labor, materials, and invoices on work orders.

    • Organized volunteer groups for annual volunteer garden workday trip and coordinated plant donations at the end of the year to Roosevelt Community Garden
